Have you ever felt pain, pain so deep that only groans could escape your lips?

Have you ever felt pain, pain so deep that only groans could escape your lips?
That pain can be any type of pain. It can be physical, emotional or spiritual.
When you were in the middle of the pain, did you feel God? Did you question if God was even around? Did you feel that you were trapped in torment forever? Were you in a living hell?

You are not alone. There have been days that I have only been able to utter, Help me Lord or don't let go of me. There were no other words that seemed to come.
I love the Psalms. No matter what you are feeling, they are expressed there. I have read Psalm 77 recently.

The writer is in spiritual distress. The writer is weary. Verse 2 “In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord; in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying; my soul refuses to be comforted.” Verse 4: “You keep my eyelids from closing; I am so troubled that I cannot speak.” Sometimes we are afraid to seek God. Maybe we are afraid of what His response will be. Will He leave us here? Just as in the case of the psalmist in verse 7, “Will the Lord spurn forever, and never again be favorable?
God tells us He will never leave us nor forsake us. Even though we feel alone, forsaken and there are no words for us to pray...Romans 8:26 says, "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans." So don't feel bad that there are no words, the Holy Spirit is interceding.
It is hard in the moments of pain. It isn't always easy to see, hear or sense God in what is going on. I found
an awesome quote by Oswald Chambers about God’s silence: “His silence is the sign that He is bringing you into an even more wonderful understanding of Himself. When you cannot hear God, you will find that He has trusted you in the most intimate way possible—with absolute silence, not a silence of despair, but one of pleasure, because He saw that you could withstand an even bigger revelation. The actual evidence of the answer in time is simply a matter of God’s sovereignty. If Jesus Christ is bringing you into the understanding that prayer is for the glorifying of His Father, then He will give you the first sign of His intimacy—silence.” (My Utmost For His Highest—Daily Devotional)
May you cling to God's truths--God will never leave you, nor forsake you...God has a plan to prosper you and not harm you....My friend, God has a plan, it doesn't always look like we want it to, but God's ways are best. My prayers are that you find peace amongst the pain and chaos.
Blessings
